Michelle Hunt-Graham MA, LMFT, CDWF

My highest priority is to create a safe and nurturing environment for you to craft the life and relationships you want.

Together, we’ll access the wisdom of your body and the deep knowing that resides there. We'll enlist the superpowers of curiosity and awareness to investigate  your life and create intentions that fit with how you want to live.

As a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I have a passion for helping people find their path to wellbeing. I draw on knowledge gained from training in Narrative Therapy, The Daring Way™, Life Coaching, Brainspotting, and Polyvagal Theory. I also draw on my lived experiences of being partnered, helping to raise two adult humans, and from my many face-down moments and successes.

Although I am trained in many therapeutic approaches, all of them are informed by Polyvagal Theory with the goal of reconnecting clients with the innate wisdom of their bodies. In short, Polyvagal Theory is the science of the nervous system and its constant effort to keep us safe.

Polyvagal Theory explains how our Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) moves between physiological states in response to cues of safety or danger. Depending on the state of the ANS, adaptive behaviors (behaviors that we believe keep us safe) and narratives change. These behaviors and stories affect our well-being and our relationships, but with increased awareness and compassion we can achieve safety in more effective ways.

Together we'll create a space for you to get curious, consider and ultimately to create the life and relationships you want.

Perhaps the biggest tragedy of our lives is that freedom is possible, yet we can pass our years trapped in the same old patterns.
